Good Vibes

I picked up this maxi dress from Forever 21 last week. This is my first maxi dress, and it was something I was a bit undecided about before, but since this one was so cheap, I decided to test it out! I am deeply in favor of the maxi dress now. Mine is so comfy, and I adore the tribal print. I can tell this is going to be a staple for me into the spring and summer, and even fall too! It’s a piece that’s so easily remixable-you can add a denim vest or a leather jacket and a scarf, or just grab some sandals for an easy outfit. What’s your take on the patterned maxi dress?overlook1

overlook2I went up to an outcropping that overlooks the valley. It was such a nice spring day out, the first in a long while! Even though I have lots of exams and lab practicals coming up, a nice day always helps me feel less stressed. The major I’m in takes a serious amount of day-to-day studying, and it’s nice to be able to escape outside! This beautiful weather has me feeling great-here’s hoping it lasts!

overlook4 I wore my favorite ankle booties-they complement the orangey pattern in the dress. I also grabbed my lovely round sunnies and some chandelier earrings. I kept my jewelry minimal since I was wearing a bold pattern. I’m loving the bohemian seventies vibes this season, and this is my way of channeling some of that! I swiped on some red lipstick too, just for fun 🙂 It played well off the colors in my dress.overlook5

    1. Thanks Ellen! If you’re worried about it being too long, think about ways you can style it to make it shorter, like tying it up or even hemming it if you enjoy DIY projects! There are also lots of petite websites that sell shorter styles. Hope this helps!
