Today I have something simple and fun to share with you! I received this Formula X nail polish in my last Ipsy bag (I’m so obsessed with Ipsy. So. Obsessed.) and I’ve been searching for the perfect way to wear it ever since! It’s a wonderful coral pink shade, perfect for summer! I decided to use it to create an interesting negative space nail design. I’ve been seeing lots of great negative space nails lately, and I think it’s such a cool and laid-back way to wear nail polish for summer. It’s very easy to do, and super easy to customize to your personal style. Here’s how!
You’ll Need:
- Nail polish of your choice
- Tape
- Scissors
- Any top coat
I cut my tape into a wave shape and applied it to the top half of my nails, then simply painted over it and removed it, leaving my nails half coral and half bare for my take on the negative space nail trends I’ve been seeing all over lately! I think that this is such a unique way to show your personality, and if you mess up a little, no one will know it wasn’t on purpose! You can cut your tape into any shape you would like in order to put your own spin on this look! I’ve seen some very cool geometric ways of rocking this nail trend.
As for the Formula X nail polish itself, I was extremely impressed! It dries very quickly, and it only took me one coat to reach this level of pigmentation. It’s also a perfect color for summer! I’m very happy with this product and with how my nails turned out!
What do you think? Have you tried negative space nails? What’s your favorite summer trend? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for stopping by π

I haven’t yet but it looks pretty cool! I should paint my nails more often but I feel like it takes up so much time and they always end up chipping haha

This is such an unusual trend, I haven’t seen it around before! I’m not sure if I could handle it, I’m so OCD about my nails and whenever they have a tiny chip I have to remove the polish :’) But this actually looks really cool, I might give it a go and see how it turns out! π The colour is gorgeous too, I really want to try the Formula X polishes!
